However, the story sometimes feels disjointed, with a few characters lacking depth and serving merely as background for Huo's arc.

Jet Li's Standout Performance

Jet Li shines as Huo Yuanjia, effectively capturing the character's complexity and emotional weight. His physical prowess is evident, but it's his internal struggle that elevates his performance. Unfortunately, some supporting characters, like Sun Li as Moon, feel underdeveloped, leading to missed opportunities for deeper connections. The international fighters, while formidable, are often one-dimensional villains that lack the depth needed to make their confrontations truly engaging. Overall, the performances are solid, but the script does a disservice by not fully utilizing the ensemble cast.
