A Lawman in Trouble

The film follows Liu Jian, an elite Chinese police officer portrayed by Jet Li, who travels to Paris to apprehend a notorious drug lord. However, his mission takes a disastrous turn when he is betrayed by a French officer and falsely accused of murder. Forced into hiding, Liu must navigate the dangerous underbelly of Paris, seeking allies, including a resourceful prostitute named Jessica, played by Bridget Fonda. The film weaves a narrative of revenge and survival as Liu seeks to clear his name and dismantle the criminal network that has ensnared him.

Jet Li delivers a solid performance as Liu Jian, showcasing his formidable martial arts skills while embodying the character's determination and vulnerability.
