Samantha Kingston, played by Zoey Deutch, seems to have it all: popularity, a loving boyfriend, and a tight-knit group of friends. However, after a tragic event on Valentine’s Day, she finds herself trapped in a time loop, reliving the same day repeatedly. As the hours tick by, Samantha begins to reevaluate her relationships and the choices she made, confronting the harsh realities of her seemingly perfect life. The narrative weaves between self-discovery and the repercussions of her actions, though it often gets bogged down by teenage angst, making its deeper messages less impactful than intended.

Zoey Deutch carries the film with a solid performance, bringing depth to Samantha’s transformation. Unfortunately, many supporting characters feel underdeveloped; Kian Lawley as Rob Cokran and Halston Sage as Lindsay Edgecombe are more archetypes than multidimensional figures. While the script attempts to flesh out Samantha's friendships, they often feel shallow and stereotypical. Elena Kampouris, portraying Juliet Sykes, delivers a standout moment that hints at deeper emotions, but it’s ultimately overshadowed by the film's focus on its protagonist's journey.

The fantastical elements don’t always blend seamlessly with the drama, detracting from the film's overall cohesion.
